Tuvalu held a general election on 26 January 2024.
Feleti Teo was elected Prime Minister and will serve a four-year term. There are no political parties in Tuvalu. The Prime Minister is elected by Parliament.
Tuvalu has a unicameral parliament with 16 members. Each of the eight island electorates are represented by two members of parliament serving four-year terms. Members are elected by first-past-the-post system.
Tuvalu has a population is 11,471 and around 6,000 registered voters.
