Rumen Radev of the Progressive Bulgaria party won the election with 44.7% of the vote and secured 135 seats in the 240-seat National Assembly.
Former Prime Minister Boyko Borissov's GERB party came second with 13.4%, and the liberal PP-DB coalition third with 12.8%.
The National Assembly is a unicameral legislature with members serving four-year terms and elected by proportional representation.
Bulgaria has a population of around 6.8 million and 6.6 million registered voters. Turnout in the 2026 election was 51%.
