Incumbent President Paul Biya of the ruling CPDM party is seeking an eighth term.
Presidents serve a seven-year term and are elected by plurality vote.
The country has a bicameral Parliament with 100-seat upper house Senate and 180-seat lower house National Assembly. Members of both houses service five-year terms.
Cameroon has a population of around 29 million and approximately 7.8 million registered voters. In the 2018 presidential election, voter turnout was 54%.
