Croatia held a general election on 17 April 2024 to elect members of parliament (Sabor).
Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic's ruling Croatian Democratic Union party won the election with 60 of the 151 seats but fell short of the parliamentary majority. The main opposition Social Democratic Party won 42 seats.
Croatia has a unicameral parliament with members serving a four-year term.
Presidential elections are scheduled for December 2024.
Croatia will also be voting in the European Parliament elections on 9 June 2024.
The country has a population of 3.98 million and approximately 3.7 million registered voters. Voter turnout in the 2024 election was 62.3%, compared with 46.9% in 2020.
