Members are elected from six multi-member constituencies which correspond to the six districts of Cyprus, with the number of seats allocated according to the area’s population. Elections are held using open list proportional representation. Members serve five-year terms.
Cyprus has a population of around 1.4 million and 568,587 registered voters. Turnout in the 2021 elections was 65.7%.
