Incumbent President Daniel Noboa of the ruling National Democratic Action (ADN) alliance was announced the winner by the National Electoral Council (CNE) after securing 56% of the vote. He will serve a four-year term.
The opposition candidate was Luisa Gonzalez of the Citizen Revolution Movement.
Noboa became president in 2023 after President Guillermo Lasso dissolved parliament in May 2023 and triggered a general election in which he did not seek re-election and was succeeded by Noboa.
Ecuador has a population of around18.2 million and approximately 13.8 million registered voters. Voter turnout in the 2025 election was 82%.
