Greenland held a general election on 11 March 2025.
The opposition Demokraatit Party led by Jens-Friederik Nielsen won the general election with 30% of the vote. It was followed by the Naleraq party, which received 25%.
The incumbent ruling party Inuit Ataqatigiit led by Prime Minister is Múte Egede came third with 21% of the vote, while its coalition partner the Siumut party received 15%.
The unicameral parliament (Inatsisartut) has 31 members who are elected by proportional representation in a single nationwide constituency.
Greenland is an autonomous country within the Kingdom of Denmark.
The population of Greenland is around 57,0000 and it has approximately 41,130 registered voters. In the 2025 general election, voter turnout was 70.9%.
