Hungary held parliamentary elections on 12 April 2026 to election all 199 members of the National Assembly.

The opposition Tisza Party, led by Péter Magyar, won the election with 141 seats. 

The ruling Fidesz party led by Viktor Orbán came second with 52 seats. 

Hungary has a unicameral parliament with members serving four-year terms.

Hungary has a population of around 9.6 million and 8.2 million registered voters. Turnout in the 2026 election was 79.5%.
