Mauritius held a general election on 10 November 2024.
The Office of the Electoral Commissioner said the Alliance of Change coalition, led by Navin Ramgoolam, won the election with 62.6% of the vote. The coalition won 60 of the 62 seats in the National Assembly.
Incumbent Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth of the Militant Socialist Movement has conceded defeat.
The country has a unicameral National Assembly comprising 62 directly elected members serving five-year terms in multi-member constituencies, and eight additional seats allocated to non-elected party candidates.
Mauritius has a population of 1.3 million and approximately 1 million registered voters. Provisional results show voter turnout in the 2024 election was 80%.
