The electoral commission (PKW) said Karol Nawrocki won the election with 50.9% of the vote. Rafal Trzaskowski, who is mayor of Warsaw, received 49.1%.
The president is elected for a five-year term and can serve a maximum of two terms.
Incumbent President, Andrzej Duda of the Law and Justice (PiS) party was unable to run again.
Poland has a population of around 38.3 million and around 29.3 million registered voters. In the 2025 presidential election, voter turnout was 71.6%.
