Voters will be electing all 90 deputies of the National Assembly; 88 are elected by open list proportional representation in eight constituencies that elect 11 deputies each. The remaining two seats are reserved for the Italian and Hungarian minority communities, elected using the Borda count method. Deputies in the National Assembly serve four-year terms.
The current Prime Minister is Robert Golob of the Freedom Movement party.
Slovenia has a population of around 2.1 million and 1.7 million registered voters. In the 2022 general election, voter turnout was 70%.
