The Election Commission confirmed incumbent President Yoweri Museveni of the National Resistance Movement party won the election with 72% of the vote and will serve a seventh term.
Uganda has a population of around 52 million and 21.6 million registered voters. In the 2026 election, voter turnout was 52%.
